You can easily open and close the vehicle via our CarVia app.

Simply select the desired vehicle on the map and start the rental.

Simply download our "CarVia" app from your app store. Here you can register for free. The registration process takes just under 5 minutes. Afterwards, you can start driving immediately and check out the exciting CarVia fleet.

Use of the app is free of charge.

And it gets even better: With our carefree Pricing, you always travel at the lowest rate. Depending on the duration of the journey, the algorithm automatically switches from the minute rate to the hourly or daily rate. This eliminates the need for time-consuming route planning and reduces the stress level during the journey.

The fee to the airport is €14.50 in addition to the normal rental price. This fee applies if you drive from the Munich business area to the airport and park your car in parking garage 20 (level 01 car sharing parking spaces), or if you drive the other way around from the airport to Munich city center.

Start renting:

The business area of CarVia Share is currently the city of Munich. You can see the precisely defined business area on the map in the CarVia app on your smartphone

During the journey:

During your journey, you can also use our vehicles outside our business area. Trips abroad are permitted in the following countries: Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy & France.

Please observe the regulations and vignette obligations applicable there. The tenant has to take care of these matters himself.

End of rental:

To end the rental, the vehicle must be parked again in our business area. If you have parked the car properly and got out of the car, you can simply end the rental via the app.

If this is not possible, please contact our support team.

The fees for ending a rental outside our business area vary depending on the distance to the business area, as we have to send a driver to collect the car again!

Our vehicles are covered by both third party and fully comprehensive insurance. The deductible is 950 EUR, you can reduce the excess to 0€ for each trip by selecting the option Reduce deductible to 0€. This costs €1 per journey.

However, the comprehensive cover does not apply in the event of gross negligence or intent. You can find out more about this in our General Terms and Conditions.

You can fill up with CarVia Share at all DKV filling stations. These are for example: Aral, Shell, ESSO, Agip; OMV and JET.
On the large pillar where the petrol stations display their prices you will also find a DKV symbol to be on the safe side.
You will find a corresponding fuel card in the glove compartment. You can then use this to pay for the refueling process.
There are no costs involved!
If there are any problems, that's not a problem either. In this case, you can simply pay for the tank yourself and send us a photo of the invoice with the license plate number of the vehicle. We will then transfer the money to you.

You are welcome to charge our vehicles at any time. You will find a charging cable in the trunk if you are at a public charging station without your own cable. You will find a charging card in the glove compartment.
Plug the cable into the car's plug and use the charging card to start the charging process at the charging station.

With Tesla, you should also note that the glove compartment can only be opened via the display in the main menu. (There is no physical button). And at Tesla Superchargers you don't need a charging card at all, because the charging station recognizes the Tesla automatically.

There are no charging costs!

What you need

You will need the following documents to register:

  • valid identity card / passport
  • driver's license
  • a valid payment method
  • Minimum age of 23 years reached (For some Cars a minimum age of 25 years applies)

CarVia for business trips

Yes, you can use CarVia Share for business purposes.

The stored payment profile can be adjusted before each journey. The invoices for your journeys are always billed separately according to the stored payment profile.

You can create a new payment profile under the menu item "Your payment profiles".

Under the menu item "Your payment profiles", you can create a new payment profile with an additional payment method, e.g. for company purposes.

A profile name can be assigned to the payment profile for appropriate allocation, e.g. "Private" or "Business".

Before each journey, you can select the tariff to be used for billing.

Each payment profile has its own billing cycle.

Our sharing fleet can of course be used for business trips.

For rentals longer than 7 days, please contact us in advance.

Trips abroad are permitted in the following countries: Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy & France.

Your Account

You can make changes to your personal data under the menu item "User account".

Changes to addresses and payment methods can be made under the menu item "Your payment profiles".

You can request the deletion of your account under the menu item "Privacy & Imprint". We will then take care of the permanent deletion of your account.

Changes to your payment details can be made under the menu item "Your payment profiles".

You can view all your past invoices in the "Invoices" section under the "User account" menu item.

Please note that invoices are created with a time delay to your journeys.

Under the menu item "Your journeys" you can view all your past journeys.


No, only the person who started the rental is allowed to drive. If you want to change the driver's seat with your passenger, they must start the rental on their smartphone.

There are no child seats in our vehicles. It is therefore necessary to bring your own child seat if required. All vehicles are equipped with ISO-FIX.

Do not forget: Remove the child seat before the end of the rental period.

As long as the rental is not terminated by the tenant independently, it will continue to run. It is therefore essential that you try to charge your cell phone in the car or speak to someone so that they can call our service hotline and we can end your rental remotely.

In this case, we will process the administrative offense. A fee is payable for processing the administrative offense. This is based on our general terms and conditions.

Please let us know which vehicle the lost property is in and we will take care of the rest.

If you are still within reach of the vehicle, you are welcome to have the vehicle unlocked by our support team to collect your items.

If the vehicle is no longer within reach, please have the dates of the journey ready and we will then check the vehicle. Fees will be charged for the subsequent shipping according to our list of fees.

Smoking in CarVia Share cars is prohibited.

A special cleaning fee will be charged for smoking in our vehicles.

Pets may be carried in a fixed transport box in our vehicles.


You are welcome to send us an e-mail to and we will look into the case as soon as possible.

Please simply report the damage via the CarVia app. Select the damaged car and press the exclamation mark.

Please contact us by e-mail or telephone so that we can get the vehicle back in top condition as quickly as possible. We thank you for your help so that our vehicles can always be in top condition.
