Our FAQ
1. You need to download the CarVia app and register with your personal details, ID, driver's license, and a valid payment method.
2. Stop by our counter at BMW Welt between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM for a quick final activation (takes less than 5 minutes).
3. Now you can rent a car anytime you want by unlocking it through the app and driving off.
You need to be at least 25 years old and hold a driver's license for at least 2 years or more.
Also, please let us admit you to our program at our counter in the BMW Welt after successful online registration.
At the beginning of each rental, we will block 300 € on the payment option you provided.
Download the CarVia app and register. Then visit our counter at BMW Welt, and we’ll activate your account. After that, you can start right away and drive off from BMW Welt with your favorite BMW rental car.
All vehicles are covered by liability insurance. Additionally, comprehensive and theft protection insurance is included, with a deductible of €2,000 in the event of damage.
The comprehensive and theft protection insurance covers damages to the rental car. However, damages caused by gross negligence or intent are not covered. This includes, for example, driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the car unlocked and getting it stolen, traveling to a restricted country, or allowing an unauthorized driver to operate the vehicle.
Yes! You can rent a car for up to 7 days. Please return it before the end of the last day to the BMW Welt.
The available vehicles are either parked on the forecourt directly in front of BMW Welt or in the underground garage. If you have trouble finding them, we’ll be happy to assist you on-site.
Of course! Whether you're heading into the city for shopping or to the nearest lake for a swim, you can park your BMW rental anytime. This can be done keyless via the app using the so-called Park Mode. Just keep in mind that local parking fees may apply.
You can reserve your BMW for 15 minutes via the app. This can be done twice in a row, allowing you to block your desired car for up to 30 minutes – perfect if you need time to get to BMW Welt first.
