Billing starts from three hours, which corresponds to the minimum booking duration.

How close to the start of my booking can I change or cancel it?

You can change or cancel your booking free of charge up to one hour before the booking starts. You can also extend an active rental, provided the vehicle is available.

All vehicles are covered by liability and comprehensive insurance. The standard deductible is €1,500. For €5 per trip, your deductible is reduced to €0.

Important: Comprehensive insurance coverage does not apply in cases of gross negligence or intent. Any damage must always be reported, even with additional insurance. You can find further details in our Terms and Conditions.

In the event of damage, you must first get yourself and others to safety and secure the accident site. Then you can contact us at any time on our telephone number and we will help you. You must also inform the police at the same time and obtain the file number for the case.

Whether you are driving into the city for shopping or to a nearby lake for a day trip, you can park your vehicle at any time. This is also possible without a key directly via the app using the so-called parking mode.

No parking fees apply to our vehicles in public parking spaces in the city of Munich. Please note, however, that parking fees may apply in private parking lots.

Station-Based Car Sharing

With station-based car sharing, you can book vehicles spontaneously or several months in advance — ideal if you want to plan reliably. The vehicle also has a fixed parking space directly in front of the Pullman Hotel, where it is picked up and returned.

Free-Floating Car Sharing

With our free-floating offer, vehicles are distributed freely within a defined business area. You can find them wherever they are available and, after your trip, park them again in almost any legal parking space. This offers maximum flexibility, but there is no guarantee that a car will be available nearby, and there is no reserved parking space when you end your trip.

With station-based car sharing, the car is ready for you at a fixed location and can be unlocked via the app. There is no need for a physical handover or a visit to a counter. Fuel or electricity is also already included.

With traditional car rental, you also reserve in advance, but you pick up the vehicle at a CarVia Rental Hub. There, the handover takes place in person. Fuel or charging is not always included.

Yes, child seats and baby seats can be added to your booking free of charge. Please send an email to support@carvia.de directly after booking so that we can organize the setup. The request must be made at least 48 hours before the rental begins.
