Where to drive a Porsche from Paris
Start early on a Sunday with a lap around the Arc de Triomphe and down the Champs-Élysées, before the city wakes up. Then head out: Versailles is about 30 minutes away, the vineyards around Reims and Épernay in Champagne under two hours east, and the Normandy coast with Honfleur and Deauville about two and a half hours west. Perfect distances for a 911 weekend.
French autoroutes are limited to 130 km/h (81 mph), or 110 km/h (68 mph) in the rain, and most of them are toll roads. Looking for stretches without a speed limit? With the cross-border option, the German Autobahn is about four hours east of Paris.
