Where to drive an Audi around Hamburg
Autobahn: the A7 north towards Denmark and the A1 towards Bremen have long unrestricted stretches. Hamburg to Berlin on the A24 is under three hours.
Baltic and North Sea: Travemünde and the Baltic beaches are an hour away, Sylt and the North Sea about three - and the ferry to Denmark leaves from Puttgarden.
Lüneburg Heath: the heath south of the city is the classic Sunday drive - country roads, heather and the old town of Lüneburg.
City: the Elbchaussee along the river, the Speicherstadt and the Elbphilharmonie - and the Reeperbahn at night, if that is your thing.

Pickup or delivery: pick up your Audi at our Hamburg rental hub in St. Georg, a short walk from the main train station, or we deliver it to your hotel or to Hamburg Airport (HAM).
Driver's license: a US or Canadian driver's license is all you need - no international driving permit required. Bring your passport.

Select the cross-border option during booking and the car is covered for your route. Denmark is about two hours north of Hamburg on the A7.
