The result is the ABT RS6-S: 710 hp (720 PS), 664 lb-ft (900 Nm), available from CarVia from approx. €450 per day in Germany.

What ABT did to the Audi RS6
Underneath, it is the Audi RS6 Avant you know: 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, quattro all-wheel drive, 8-speed Tiptronic. ABT plugs in its own ABT Engine Control unit and lifts output from 591 to 710 hp (600 to 720 PS) and torque from 590 to 664 lb-ft (800 to 900 Nm). That is supercar territory in a car you could take on a Home Depot run. You won't. But you could.
Then there is the part you can see: front lip, side skirts and rear spoiler in exposed carbon fiber, 22-inch ABT High Performance wheels and a suspension that sits about an inch closer to the pavement. The rest stays Audi: five seats, RS sport seats up front, an interior where nothing rattles, and a V8 that sounds the way a V8 should.
Living with 710 hp: easier than it sounds
The RS6-S is still an Avant, which is German for wagon. Five doors, about 20 cu ft of trunk space behind the rear seats, close to 60 cu ft with them folded. A ski trip to the Alps fits, and so do four people in black tie on the way to a wedding. In Comfort mode it cruises the autobahn like a luxury sedan. In Dynamic mode it turns into a sports car with roof rails.
