Porsche 911 GT3 - Racing for the road
As the successor to the RS variants of the Porsche 911, the name GT3 was first used for the street-legal racing version of the 911 with the 996 series. Porsche's core idea was, unlike with the Porsche Turbo, to adopt as many components as possible from the real Cup cars.
